If the actuator now moves freely the door latch mechanism is sticky or binding.
Diagnosis if all of the door locks are inoperative start your diagnosis at the fuse box.
An inoperative power door lock can be caused by the switch solenoid wiring problem or mechanical problem within the linkage of the affected door.
Unplug the door lock actuator electrical connector.
Locate a good spot to mount the bracket.
Screw the actuator onto the bracket.
To check if the door latch mechanism is the problem disconnect the mechanical linkages that connect the power door lock actuator to the door latch mechanism and activate the door lock.
Note the bracket screwed onto the door frame.
Step 4 attach adapter rod.
You should see the voltage polarity toggle with each switch activation.
Door lock systems operate the actuator by toggling positive negative voltage to the actuator.
Then use your test light or digital meter to check for power and ground at the connector when you operate the lock unlock switch.
This must be parallel to the factory door lock rod.
Inspect the fuse that protects the door lock circuit to ensure it is not blown.
